The AOC App

The AOC app puts announcements, the calendar, documents, votes, and your membership profile on your phone, with notifications when something goes out. There is nothing to download from an app store: open this website on your phone and add it to your Home Screen.

iPhone and iPad

  1. Open aoc.robgrasska.com in Safari (the steps need Safari, not Chrome).
  2. Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (the square with an arrow pointing up).
  3. Scroll down the list and tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Tap Add in the top corner. The AOC badge appears with your other apps.
  5. Open the app from the Home Screen, log in once, and it stays logged in.

Android

  1. Open this website in Chrome.
  2. Tap the Install button when it appears at the bottom of the screen, or open Chrome's menu (the three dots) and tap Add to Home screen or Install app.
  3. Tap Install. The AOC badge appears with your other apps.

Computer

In Chrome or Edge, click the small install icon at the right end of the address bar, or open the browser menu and choose Install Association of Chiefs. The site then opens in its own window like any other program.

Notifications

Once the app is open from the Home Screen, go to My Profile, find Phone notifications, and tap Turn on. You can choose which notifications you get: announcements, meeting reminders, and votes. On an iPhone, notifications only work when the app has been added to the Home Screen and opened from there.

Removing it

Press and hold the AOC badge and choose Remove App (iPhone) or Uninstall (Android). Your membership account is not affected; the website works the same in any browser.
